I consider myself extremely fortunate to have experienced life vicariously through some of the most diverse and varied groups of people since my early childhood. I have gained profound insight from amazing people of vastly different ethnic, educational, professional and socioeconomic backgrounds. The old adage, birds of a feather flock together could not be further from the truth, in my personal dealings. It seems as though my interpersonal relationships, more times than not have found me paired up with characters so strikingly different from myself. Perhaps it’s my adoration of diversity, or underneath it all we are all really more alike than we care to admit. Nonetheless, I’ve learned some extremely valuable life lessons from their respective successes, failures and life journeys. Some of the most notable are as follows:

  1. Do not entrust your best interest with anyone other than yourself.
  2. Do not be sexually promiscuous.
  3. Do not keep company with “bad people” or else you may suffer endless and haunting consequences from related negative associations.
  4. Love and value yourself at all times.
  5. Being a good person is more important and worthwhile than being “COOL”.
  6. Always focus on what you want.
  7. Be fabulous.
  8. Try your hardest at all times.
  9. Look your best at all times.
  10. Make money.
  11. Stand and speak up for yourself.
  12. Be selfish.
  13. Leave behind anything or anyone that no longer serves you.
  14. Focus!
  15. Word hard. Go the extra step.
  16. The ends justify the means.
  17. Progress over all else.
  18. Keep the vision for your life, fixed in your mind.
  19. Demand your value.
  20. Live YOUR life!
  21. Be fearless.
  22. If not you, than who?
  23. Control yourself, control your thoughts.
  24. Manifestation is real.
  25. Never settle for less, than the best!
  26. Faith without works is dead.
  27. Never be an afterthought.
  28. Put yourself 1st.
  29. Only accept the best.
  30. Don’t let words fool you. Demand proof, actions, material evidence.
  31. Always control yourself. Self-discipline.
  32. Create the life you need to be your best self, not what you’re necessarily accustomed to.
  33. Do not be prideful. Be able to take your wins and losses, while not losing face.
  34. Give little to no value to the thoughts of others.
  35. Unconditional love is real love.
